That’s no moon, that’s a Super Bowl ring.
The Buccaneers had a massive win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl 55, creating an opportunity for jewelry fitting of a win so large. Well, mission accomplished, because Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl rings are absolutely, ridiculously massive.
Just take a look at the size of these things.
Those are rings on the fingers of some above-average hand sizes, too. So keep in mind the scale of these things.
As always, the devil’s in the details with Super Bowl rings. Here are some of the finer points of the ring.
- The left trophy has nine diamonds, representing the nine points the Bucs allowed;
- The 319 diamonds on the ring represents the 31-9 final score of the game;
- The ring has a removable top, the first time that’s been done in NFL history. Underneath has a hand-engraved stadium.
Really, if these rings keep evolving, then you might as well just hand out Super Bowl chains at some point.
