Can you believe it’s already been a year since Kitten Bowl VII? Who can forget the classic plays made by Alvin Catmara, who ended up winning Kitten Bowl MVP?
Well we’re already on to Kitten Bowl VIII in 2021 as another feline looks to add its name to the record books. The event, hosted by Beth Stern, Cameron Mathison and Tamera Mowry-Housley, will take place hours before the Super Bowl, so you won’t have to debate which event to watch.
Unfortunately for us, Hallmark didn’t go all-out this year like they did in 2020. Last year we got unique names for each kitten, but no such luck this year. It also appears as if Hallmark ditched the Cat Bowl, which only had a two-game run.
It’s also worth noting the Kitten Bowl is aimed to help adoption rates. The kittens are provided by the North Shore Animal League, the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization. The organization’s partner shelters across the country will be holding Kitten Bowl Party adoption events to help.
The Kitten Bowl will feature over 100 adoptable kittens & cats.

How can I adopt a kitten?
In the past, the kittens featured in the Kitten Bowl had already been adopted by the time of airing. But The North Shore Animal League America, which helps with the Kitten Bowl, is accepting donations for future kittens. And although you aren’t able to adopt one of these cat-letes, you can head to your local animal shelter and pick up a feline that’s just as great.
