“Courtside Karen” will remain courtside for the foreseeable future.
Juliana Carlos, better known by her appointed stage name “Courtside Karen,” was kicked out of Monday night’s Lakers vs. Hawks game in Atlanta after getting a lot bit rowdy with LeBron James, cursing James out and blaming James for getting aggressive with her husband. (In fact, all James seemingly uttered in her husband’s direction was “Ol’ steroid ass,” which seems hilarious to type.)
Carlos went on an expletive-laden tirade on her Instagram account after the ejection, placing the blame on James, while James said he welcomed the back-and-forth with the fans and said they shouldn’t have gotten the quick hook.
Well, Karen — sorry, Carlos — took the L on the situation, offering an apology on Instagram for going above and beyond in the ejection.
The graphic reads:
About last night…
To say things escalated quickly at yesterday’s game is an understatement, and I want to apoloigize for losing my cool and removing my mask in the heat of the moment. y husband is a huge sports fan and we’re passionate people, and let’s be real: sports wouldn’t be sports without a little trash-talking. What should have been a quick back-and-forth between two adults got out of hand and my natural instinct to stand up for the man I love kicked in. Did I get defense when that happened? Yes. Did I use offensive language when I could have taken the higher road? Yes. And for these things, I take full responsibility.
While James wasn’t mad about the situation, he later had some fun with Carlos on Twitter:
Courtside Karen was MAD MAD!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

After an investigation, the Hawks said the group of four that was ejected from the game won’t be banned from the arena
