Bills fans probably don’t need a reminder of Buffalo’s last trip to the Super Bowl, and even if they do, they might regret asking for said reminder.
It’s been nearly three decades since the Bills last played in the NFL’s final game of the season. The early 1990s were full of Buffalo appearances in the Super Bowl. One problem: The Bills never won it, losing in four consecutive years, and they haven’t been back since.
That’s it. Buffalo never made it to the Super Bowl before 1991, and the Bills haven’t made it back since 1994. The 2020 NFL season, which featured a 13-3 regular season for the Bills, presents maybe the best chance since ’94 for Buffalo to circle the wagons en route to Super Bowl 55 in Tampa, Florida.
Here’s a look back at the Bills’ Super Bowl history — if you don’t like re-living misery, maybe turn back here.
